Official DJI FPV drone announcement follows series of leaks – This morning it seems that DJI has capitulated to a series of leaks that came out on Facebook yesterday and were posted here on DroneXL with the help of fellow Dutchman Jasper E. The dronemaker sent out an official email announcing the launch of the all-new DJI FPV drone that will ‘Redefine Flying’ for many enthusiasts. The new DJI FPV drone will be launched on March 2nd, 2021 at 9 am EST.
National Geographic: Second season of “Europe from Above” – Lovers of beautiful drone images, beware: National Geographic will release the second series of episodes of “Europe from Above”, starting with the first episode about France. In the following episodes, the series focuses on Greece, Turkey, Finland, Sweden, and Hungary. The Europe-focussed series can be seen weekly on Monday evenings, from 10:00 PM to 11:00 PM.
Scottish police chiefs under fire for purchase of non-rainproof drones – A number of Scottish police chiefs have come under fire for the decision to purchase a number of non-rainproof drones, worth nearly £ 60,000 (about £ 70,000). It concerned three devices from DJI’s Matrice 210 series. It was already known at the time of purchase that they cannot be used when it rains heavily.
