The amazing footage of the Geldingadalsgos volcano in Iceland was shot by Iceland Aerials. The team used an FPV drone and a GoPro Hero 10 Black action camera to capture the stunning footage.

The Geldingadalsgos volcano has been dormant for over 600 years but came to life on March 19, 2021. It has been the first active volcano in the area in over 800 years.

As if the FPV drone footage isn't amazing enough, the team of Iceland Aerials has yet to lose a drone over the scorching hot lava. Impressive indeed!

“All drones survived, we melted the props once but were still able to fly it home while barely keeping it airborne with full throttle,” Iceland Aerial said.

Drones and especially FPV Drones have provided us with amazing aerial photos and video footage over recent years.
