DJI Goggles 2 for DJI Avata Cinewhoop drone show up in leaked photos
We just got these leaked photos of what seems to be the new DJI Goggles 2 that will go with the upcoming DJI Avata Cinewhoop drone.
These photos were floating around on Chinese social media before they made their way to Twitter and Facebook with help from DealsDrone and OsitaLV.
On Facebook, they were shared by ItsBlunty Fpv (thanks!), who said the following:
“Alright I've been told I can share this image now. [The] source claims this is final DJI Goggle 2 with watermarks removed. Another source claims this is close to final but not quite the final goggle.
Anyway, sharing regardless.” He later followed this up with, “Edit: Added another pic, unknown source. Looks to be the final goggle.”
DJI Goggles 2 for DJI Avata Cinewhoop drone
With the DJI Avata drone and the DJI Goggles 2 showing up in the FCC database recently, it seems pretty safe to assume that the DJI goggles shown here are the final product indeed.
As of now, we do not yet have a firm release date for the DJI Avata Cinewhoop drone or the DJI Goggles 2, but we expect them to be introduced by DJI in the coming weeks.
As you can see in the leaked photo, the DJI Goggles 2 are much smaller than the original DJI Goggles and the DJI FPV Goggles. The design is more narrow and somewhat similar to the FatShark FPV goggles.
The DJI Goggles 2 will feature HD video transmission and feature only two, small, foldable antennas, LED lights, and heatsinks on the front of the device.
OsitaLV mentioned in a separate tweet that the DJI Avata Cinewhoop is already in the hands of Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs). We assume these folks will also have the DJI Goggles 2 in their hands.
We do not know at this point if these new DJI Goggles 2 will also work with the DJI FPV quadcopter.
