DJI Avata FPV drone appears now in FCC database
The DJI Avata FPV drone is probably coming sooner than previously thought. The CineWhoop-like device has appeared in the FCC product registration system by name, along with the DJI Goggles 2 and O3 Air Unit. Regarding specs, it is a guess what the Avata has to offer, but it seems to be a successor to the DJI FPV Drone that appeared in early 2021. But then also suitable for indoor flying.
DJI Avata FPV drone
The discovery of the DJI Avata in the FCC's registration system made the rounds on Twitter for the first time today. According to previous rumors, we are dealing with a CineWhoop-type FPV drone. That means the drone can probably be used indoors to record beautiful fly-throughs, for example. Thanks to the ducted propellers, the drone can safely fly close to people.
Together with the Avata, DJI is introducing a new FPV video goggle, the Goggles 2. There is also an O3 Air Unit. According to the registration, the Avata would be powered by a 2,420 mAh battery. That could indicate a long flight time of 20 minutes or more. Video images would probably be recorded in 4K, with software image stabilization.
DJI Avata FPV drone launch date
There is no word yet on the launch date. But the DJI Avata is already in the FCC database, so the drone will likely be introduced very soon.
And as always with DJI, all specs for that time will already be on the street…
