Oak Grove Man Jailed for Drunken Rant Over Imaginary Drone Flight
An incident involving alcohol and an unfounded accusation over a drone flight resulted in Robert Calvin Lewis Jr.’s arrest on May 8th, 2023. The Oak Grove resident faced charges after confronting his neighbor while under the influence, wrongly claiming that a drone was being flown over his property.
As reported, Mr. Lewis caused alarm to his neighbor with his expletive-laden tirade, leading to a call to the Sheriff’s Office for assistance. The neighbor’s distress prompted the issuance of a warrant for Mr. Lewis’s arrest, following the incident that took place on May 5th, 2023.
The arrest reportedly resulted in charges for Robert Lewis of Disturbing The Peace By Drunk And Disorderly and Criminal Trespass. Consequently, he was incarcerated in the West Carroll Parish Jail.
In the aftermath, it was established that the neighbor was innocent of Mr. Lewis’s accusations – no drone had been flown.
