DJI Mini 4 Pro specs and images leaked

Amazon Drone Deals: DJI Mini 5 Pro Fly More Combo with DJI RC2 now for $1,099!

Several long-time DJI leakers shared the following images of the upcoming DJI Mini 4 Pro on social media today. The photos show the actual DJI Mini 4 Pro drone as well as the front and back of the retail box the uncrewed aircraft comes in.

The photo of the back of the box is especially interesting because it shows us all the important specifications and features of the yet-to-be-released DJI 4 Mini Pro drone.

The camera on the DJI Mini 4 Pro features a 24mm lens with an aperture of F/1.7. The camera and gimbal combination allow for true vertical shooting, just like we have seen with the DJI Mini 3 Pro and DJI Mini 3 drones.

The retail box shows the DJI Mini 4 Pro in combination with the DJI RC-N2 controller. We are confident that the mini drone will also be available with a DJI RC2 controller with a built-in display.

Overall the design of the DJI Mini 4 Pro seems to be identical to that of its predecessor, the DJI Mini 3 Pro. We believe that the DJI Mini 4 Pro will also come with two different kinds of batteries. One to keep the weight below 249 grams and one that will offer a longer flight time but will push the total weight of the drone over the 250-gram weight limit.

DJI Mini 4 Pro Specs

  • Ultra-Light and Foldable
  • Less than 249 grams
  • Omnidirectional Active Obstacle Sensing
  • Intelligent Features: FocusTrack, Waypoint Flight, Hyperlapse
  • 4K video at 100 fps
  • HDR Video
  • 48MP Photo
  • True Vertical Shooting
  • 34-Min Flight Time
  • Flagship 20km FHD Video Transmission

DJI Mini 4 Pro Release Date

Unfortunately, we do not have a confirmed release date for the DJI Mini 4 Pro yet, but it will likely be in September.

Let us know in the comments below what you think of the DJI Mini 4 Pro drone. Are you excited to get one or are you still happy with the DJI Mini 3 series?

  1. New DJI Mini 4 Pro with onidirectionnal obstacle avoidance should be great. Not impossible tocrash of course but improve the experience.
O4 transmittion, if not retrocompatible with previous O3/O3+/O3Enterprise/O3 Pro (anf finally the real difference between all these O3 protocals. I know, it is question of firware but which ones precisally?
2 batteries, one to be under 250grs, and a second one more powerful for long shoots (+ of course be able to pilot drones over 250grs), that’s not bad for peaple respecting the laws.
For me if no retrocompatibility between O3’s and O4 protocols, I simply won’t invest on any Air 3 or Mini 4 Pro. I’ll keep Mini 3 Pro + Mavic Cine + Mavic 3T + Avata (and occasionnaly my ex-DJI FPV resold to a friend). And yes I already bipassed,Mavic Cine Pro because of weight over 900grs, and should marked for europe in C2 category instead of C2 for Mavic 3 – Mavic 3Cine – Mavic Classic.
I will obtain in the few days marking C2 for my Mavic 3T (samething for Mavic 3E and 3M).
