That distinction matters more than any individual scoop. A retail box leak is a physical object someone photographed, and the Osmo Pocket 4’s confirmed the Creator Combo and a new control layout before DJI said a word. A leaked price list with a release date is a document that exists somewhere in a distribution chain. Both are worth planning around. An anonymous spec sheet is not, and we try to be plain about which one you are reading.

Recent leaks worth knowing: the DJI Matrice 5 with integrated LiDAR and a five-window gimbal points at the next enterprise flagship, and the DJI Lito rumors pointed at a lightweight line that has since become real enough to test against the Mini 5 Pro.

How reliable are DJI rumors?

It depends entirely on the source class. A photographed retail box or a regulatory filing is close to fact — it exists. A claimed spec sheet with no provenance is worth very little. We say which kind we are looking at, because the difference decides whether you should plan a purchase around it.

When does DJI usually launch new drones?

There is no fixed calendar, but launches cluster and leaks precede them by weeks rather than months. Confirmed dates tend to surface through teasers and regional price lists first, which is why those are worth more than an anonymous roadmap.

Should I wait for the next model?

Only if a specific leak names a feature you actually need. Waiting on a general expectation of something better is how people spend a season not flying — and leaked prices in particular have a habit of not surviving contact with launch day.
