You can watch the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Drone Advisory Committee (DAC) live here on DroneXL.
The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) is looking to fill positions on the Drone Advisory Committee. In the past, many (including me) have been critical that recreational and commercial drone pilots are under-represented on the DAC. This is a change top tip the balance more in our favor. Keep in mind that you will not be compensated for your time or travel expenses.
The next Federal Aviation Administration’s Drone Advisory Committee (DAC) meeting will take place on Friday, June 19 from 12-3 PM ET. You will be able to follow it live on Twitter, Facebook, or Youtube.
The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) just announced that their next Drone Advisory Committee will take place in Washington, D.C. on February 27th, 2020. The committee advises the FAA on various topics, including the recently published NPRM for Remote ID for Drones. Membership of the committee includes various larger players in the drone industry. Hobbyist drone pilots and smaller commercial drone operators are notably absent from the committee, however. The DAC meetings are open to the public, but can also be followed online on the FAA’s Facebook, Twitter, and YouTube platforms.
