Famous Magnum photographer, Robert Capa once said that “If your photographs aren’t good enough, you’re not close enough.” The same is likely true for drone videos. Check out this one from Hermes Photography.

If your drone videos aren’t good enough, you’re not close enough

The drone video was recorded with a DJI Mavic Air 2 and was shot in Biloxi, Mississippi. Hermes Photography coordinated the making of this drone video with the train operators and had the following to say about it on Facebook.

Mavic Air 2 filmed 2 days after opening box and having 3 years off from drones. Video is straight from the drone ran through adobe premier pro and exported from adobe to Facebook. I am a photographer by choice but love up close in your face action and just love what a drone can do and this one exceeds it. Filmed in Biloxi,Mississippi. Drone police please keep your negative comments to yourself as I know the laws behind what I’m doing as well as the operating persons in the train are tagged in the original post.

If Your Drone Videos Aren'T Good Enough, You'Re Not Close Enough 1

I think it is a great example of ‘If your drone videos aren’t good enough, you’re not close enough.’ Getting your drone (or camera) close to the action makes your drone videos so much more dramatic and more immersive for the viewer. It literally feels like you are right there in the middle of the action. Great video!

Let us know in the comments below what you think about this drone video. And, please fly your drone safe and responsibly.
