Police use drone to locate missing woman in Orange County
The police used a drone for good and located a missing woman in Orange County, Calif. Around 11:42 a.m. on Monday, the police responded to a call and called in the help of a drone operator to help find an elderly woman and her dog in the hillside area of Via Escola near Weston Street.

Police officers called in a drone operator to help find an elderly woman who went missing on Monday, May 25. According to the Orange Police Departments Facebook page, family members contacted the police department after the woman had not been seen for three hours.
On Monday, May 25, 2020, at 1142 hours, officers responded to the area of 5100 East Henley Place regarding a missing elderly person. Family members said she left with her dog and had not been seen in 3 hours. Officers searched the area and used one of Orange PD’s Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV) to check the hillside of Via Escola near Weston. During the search with the UAV, officers located the female lying on the ground, concealed within large brush with her dog. The The Orange City Fire Department responded and transported her to a local hospital for evaluation.
We are happy to report the missing person and her dog are recovering and are in good conditions. Great teamwork by everyone involved.
