Drone photos show Gainsthorpe Medieval ‘lost’ village

Four drone photos that were stitched together provide a great aerial view of the Gainsthorpe Medieval ‘lost’ village in the UK. The photos were posted on social media by the editor of Drone User Magazine.

Stephen Timewell, the editor of Drone User Magazine, to which you should consider subscribing btw, posted these four stitched photos on social media. The composite aerial photo gives us a great perspective on what is one of the best-preserved deserted medieval villages in England. In the drone photo, you can clearly see the different streets and locations where structures would have been.

The English Heritage website says that:

Gainsthorpe is one of the best-preserved deserted medieval villages in England, with many of its houses, barns and streets clearly visible as a complex of grassy humps and bumps.
