A drone helps in the search for a missing boater in the Delaware waterway. On Tuesday morning the search resumed for a 45-year-old missing man from an overturned boat in a Delaware waterway.
Drone helps in search for missing boater
After reports of a boat in distress, fire department rescuers were dispatched to the area of the C&D Canal and Delaware River around 4:25 p.m. on Monday.
According to Police two men from Newcastle were rescued and taken to Christiana Care where they were treated for minor exposure. A third boater from New Jersey could not be located and is still missing as of Tuesday morning.
The Delaware Fish and Wildlife department sent two board with sonar equipment to help in the search on Tuesday morning. Other searchers deployed a drone to help look for the missing man along the shoreline.
The boating incident itself is still under investigation.
