DJI Osmo Pocket 2 will be released on October 20th, 2020

In addition to the DJI rumors we reported on recently, we have just now received confirmation that the new 2 will be released on October 20, this year.

DJI Osmo Pocket 2 will be released on October 20th

The original Pocket was released in November of 2018 and brought us a very small and pocketable handheld, a gimbal-stabilized camera with 4K video recording capabilities. Especially, in good the original Osmo Pocket did remarkably well, considering the small sensor inside.

Unfortunately, we do not have any information yet on the specs and features of the new Osmo Pocket 2, although it would be safe to expect improved photo/video quality, better tracking, better battery life, etc.

Assuming that the new Osmo Pocket 2 will remain pocketable, I’m not sure that we will see a larger sensor in this camera. That might be hard to pull off considering the size.

On the other hand, I always found the original DJI Osmo Pocket to be a little bit on the small side. At times it was hard to hold the camera, fiddle with the buttons, swipe the screen to change settings, and then frame the shot (all without connecting your phone obviously). So, personally, I wouldn’t mind if the new DJI Osmo Pocket 2 would grow a little in size and would pack a larger sensor with better low-light performance.

We do not have any info on the price as of yet but expect the new DJI Osmo Pocket 2 to fall into the same price range as the current Osmo Pocket which sells for $369 on DJI’s site, but can be found for $299 on .

Either way, it will not be long before we know all the details. October 20th is not far away. Let us know in the comments below what features you would like to see in the new DJI Osmo Pocket 2.
