Hurricane Delta made landfall near the coastal town of Creole last Friday with winds topping 100 mph. The hurricane hit the gulf coast only weeks after Hurricane Laura, and claimed two lives and left 370,000 people without power.

An 86-year-old man from St. Martin Parish died while refueling his power generator which burst into flames. It seems that the man had not allowed the generator to cool off before refueling, said Louisiana Gov. John Bel Edwards on Sunday.
