DJI announcement hints at possible Mini 2 launch on November 5th
Today, OsitaLV shared a photo on Twitter that appears to be the official DJI announcement for the launch of the new DJI Mini 2. The photo shows three young people carrying a massive paper airplane through a desert-like area. In the background, there is a sign visible that reads ‘Don't Panic'. It is unclear what the sign is referring to. It could be the U.S. Presidential election. Or maybe, DJI is just pointing out that the DJI Mini 2 will be much, much smaller than the paper airplane shown in the photo, and will not require three people to carry it.
The text in the announcement reads:
2020.11.05 | 9:00 Beijing Time
Take off again
The last part could be another indication for the DJI Mini 2. ‘Taking off again,' implying perhaps a second-generation drone.
It is important to point out that 9:00 am in Beijing, China on November 5th, would correspond with 8:00 pm ET on November 4th in the United States.
