DJI quietly introduces the DJI Mic to elevate your audio

Two weeks ago DJI told us that they were going to introduce three new products. It turns out that that is not entirely accurate. This morning, after introducing the DJI Action 2 ($399 at ), the world's largest drone maker introduced the DJI Mic. Personally, I'm more excited about this product than the DJI action camera.

The DJI Mic provides exceptional sound quality and dual-channel recording at distances of up to 750 feet, the company says on its website.

While portable and contact the it provides up to 14 hours of onboard memory and up to 15 hours of battery life.

The receiver has USB-C, Lightning, and 3.5mm TRS ports so that you can use it with smartphones, cameras, and laptops.

Record high-fidelity audio with the DJI Mic

The DJI Mic can record high-fidelity professional audio separately on each channel. You can also combine the audio recordings for more flexibility in post-production. The receiver has a touchscreen display so that you can change input/output settings.

A wireless connection over 2.4 GHz allows you to move freely while recording audio. The DJI Mic features a powerful anti-interference transmission system that provides a stable audio stream in busy urban areas.

You can outfit the DJI Mic with a windscreen to prevent any wind noise in your recordings. You can wear it on your clothing with the integrated back clip or with the magnetics clips. The device weighs about 1 oz or 30 grams.

When you are not using the DJI Mic, you can store it in the DJI Mic Charging Case so that it will be ready to go when you need it. At room temperature, it takes about 1 hour and 10 minutes to fully charge the transmitters and receiver using the Charging Case. It takes about 2 hours and 40 minutes to fully charge the Charging Case.

DJI Mic pricing and availability

The DJI Mic will cost $329 and can only be reserved for now. It is unclear when this latest DJI product will be shipped.

It appears that with this latest product, the Chinese drone maker competes head-on with the Rode Wireless Go II that sells for less than $300.
