Gone are the days that Billy Kyle reviews and explains smaller drones like the DJI Mavic series. He upgraded to the DJI Matrice 300 and in a series of videos, he will explain all the details about this commercial, enterprise-grade workhorse of a drone.
DJI Matrice 300 First Flight and set up guide
Billy flies the M300 and tries out the speed, the camera with the zoom capability (23x hybrid optical zoom), the range finder, and the thermal camera. Obviously, this commercial drone is quite a step up from the DJI Mavic 2 Enterprise.
We’re excited to see Billy getting to know the M300 and we’re looking forward to the videos he will be creating.
DJI Matrice 300 RTK and the Zenmuse H20T camera
The DJI Matrice 300 RTK or M300 is DJI’s workhorse, commercial, enterprise-grade drone that is suitable for First Responders, Search and Rescue and inspections. With its many different payloads, this drone can easily be used for a wide range of applications. As you can see in the video, it is a large drone that needs to be put together before it can be flown.
The M300 weighs around 6.3 kg with two TB60 batteries installed and can carry another 2.7 kg in payload. The drone has a max flight time of around 55 minutes in ideal conditions, and a range of around 10 miles.
This unmanned aircraft comes with 6-directional obstacle avoidance, and IP45 rating and can be used in temperatures ranging from -20 to 50 degrees Celsius.
The DJI M300 is the successor to the Matrice 200/210 that was plagued by battery issues.
