DJI RC issues fixed with latest firmware update – v01.01.0100
DJI has released a Firmware Update that fixes some issues with the DJI RC. The controller with a built-in display, which was introduced together with the Mini 3 Pro and has recently become compatible with the Mavic 3 and Mavic 3 Cine, should no longer crash suddenly or show a black screen due to overheating. The flickering of the screen while showing video images has also been fixed.
Firmware update for the DJI RC
The release of the firmware update with version number v01.01.0100 is right on time, given the expected high temperatures for this week. The problem was that the DJI RC's screen sometimes went blank, or the controller got stuck due to overheating from extended use and/or flying in hot weather. That should now be rectified. A bug fix has also been implemented to prevent the screen from flickering during the playback of recorded video images.
With the firmware update, the user immediately has access to DJI Fly version 1.6.9, so you have all recently announced new features for the Mini 3 Pro. Another handy improvement is the speed check on an SD card inserted into the controller. You cannot use the built-in screen recording function if the card is not fast enough.
Installation procedure
You can easily perform the update by turning on the controller and connecting to a Wi-Fi network. The update will then be performed automatically. Check all your camera settings and other settings after the update procedure because they could be reset. DJI also recommends calibrating the compass after the update.
