The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) has started its “12 Days of Drones” campaign in an attempt to educate all current and aspiring drone pilots just before the start of the holiday shopping season.

Many children and adults will discover a brand-new camera drone beneath the tree each year. The FAA anticipates that there will be a surge of new drone pilots this year, especially with the release of the less costly DJI Mavic 3 Classic and the eagerly awaited DJI Mini 3.

The FAA started the “12 Days of Drones” campaign on social media to stay ahead of the surge in new drone owners and to educate any careless and clueless drone operators.
