DJI, the world’s leading camera drone manufacturer, has recently made its DJI Mini 3 drone available for standalone purchase, catering to pilots who already own a DJI remote controller.

Launched in December last year, the DJI Mini 3 serves as a more affordable and slightly less advanced alternative to the DJI Mini 3 Pro, which boasts forward and rearward-facing obstacle avoidance sensors.

Weighing less than 250 grams, the DJI Mini 3 is equipped with a 1/1.3-inch CMOS sensor and an f/1.7 aperture, allowing it to capture 12MP still photos. Following a recent firmware update, the drone can now also shoot stills at an impressive 48MP resolution. When it comes to video recording, the DJI Mini 3 can capture 4K footage at 30fps in HDR, providing high-quality visuals.

Notably, the drone also includes a vertical shooting mode, in which the camera rotates 90 degrees, allowing users to upload footage directly to social media platforms like TikTok and Instagram. This feature makes the DJI Mini 3 an attractive option for content creators looking to share their aerial footage seamlessly.

With its advanced O2 video transmission system, the DJI Mini 3 boasts an impressive range of up to 6 miles, providing a 720p video feed at 30fps. This extended range allows pilots to explore vast areas while maintaining a clear and stable video connection.

Now available on Amazon as a standalone drone option for $469, the DJI Mini 3 offers an accessible entry point for those who already possess a compatible remote controller. Although orders can be placed immediately, customers should note that deliveries are not expected to commence until next month.

With its competitive pricing, advanced features, and standalone purchase option, the DJI Mini 3 is poised to attract a broad range of pilots and content creators looking for an affordable and versatile drone option.
