At a recent demonstration held inside the council chambers, the committee on public safety was presented with a detailed overview of the DJI Matrice 30 drone’s capabilities.

According to supporters of the innovative approach, drones like the DJI Matrice 30 offer a unique aerial perspective, granting law enforcement access to areas typically out of reach.

Drones give law enforcement the ability to see things that officers can’t see on the ground, emphasized a staunch advocate. Such drones can adeptly navigate narrow alleyways in search of suspects, provide an early visual of ongoing criminal activities. And in tense situations facilitate communication by delivering a phone to a suspect.
