Tampa Bay's traffic woes are now being sidestepped by Chick-fil-A with an innovative solution: drone delivery. The fast food restaurant at 1504 E. Brandon Blvd is now offering this high-flying service for free.

In a move to beat the traffic, Chick-fil-A revealed their new drone delivery system in a Facebook video. It shows a meal being prepared, handed to a DroneUp pilot, and then flown straight to a customer's yard. This futuristic food delivery is available Monday through Friday, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., free for a limited time.

Close-Range Convenience

Currently, drone deliveries cover a 1.2-mile radius, but plans are in place to extend this to two miles. Don't worry if your order is too hefty for the drone; Chick-fil-A will ensure it reaches you via van.
