The incident occurred in the early hours of Monday, January 10, demonstrating the effectiveness of technology in law enforcement operations in Michigan.

The operation repordetly began at around 5:25 a.m. in the 700 block of South Rose Street, where officers, during their patrol, located a vehicle recently reported stolen from Kalamazoo Township.

The vehicle, found unoccupied and concealed behind a house, prompted an immediate search for the suspect.

Utilizing the department’s drone and a canine unit, officers were able to track down the individual.

The man was found in an unusual and unexpected location – on the roof of a four-story building.
