The drones operated by Cox’s team are capable of flying up to 300 feet above ground level, allowing for a wide surveillance area and the ability to detect heat signatures from animals hidden among debris or water.

“They are able to operate day or night,” Cox says, detailing the versatility of these machines. This technology proves crucial in rapidly identifying the location of various animals, ranging from household pets to more unusual ones like ostriches, ensuring a quicker response time than traditional search methods.

Success Stories and Future Endeavors

The success of these aerial operations is evident as Cox recounts the variety of animals they’ve managed to return to their owners. “We’ve found dogs, we’ve found exotic animals, we’re currently looking into missing ostriches,” he notes. This broad range of rescues showcases not only the effectiveness of the drones but also the expanding scope of their missions. With ongoing searches, Cox encourages those still missing their pets to get in touch via their Facebook page, promising continued support in these challenging times.
