South Korean University to Open Drone Industry Department in Kazakhstan

South Korean Professors to Train Drone Experts in Kazakhstan

South Korean professors will soon be training personnel for Kazakhstan’s drone industry. This development was announced during the Kazakh Ministry of Industry and Construction delegation’s recent visit to South Korea, as reported by the Astana Times.

Expansion of Drone Industry Education

Currently, Kazakhstan has only two universities with drone industry departments. However, with the help of a South Korean university, another department is set to open soon. This initiative aims to boost Kazakhstan’s capabilities in the rapidly growing drone sector.

South Korean Programs and Local Partnerships

Kazakh Deputy Minister of Industry and Construction Azamat Beispekov highlighted that the South Korean academy offers specialized programs for both high school students and industry professionals.

“We will train specialists using these programs. Representatives of the university will visit Kazakh technical universities and choose partners among them,” said Beispekov.

This collaboration signifies a significant step forward in equipping Kazakh professionals with the necessary skills and knowledge.

Technological Transfer and Collaboration

In addition to educational programs, there is a readiness from both South Korean and Turkish entities to transfer technologies and competencies for drone production to Kazakhstan. This move is expected to enhance local production capabilities and foster innovation within the Kazakh drone industry.

The collaboration between Kazakhstan and South Korean universities marks a crucial advancement in developing the local drone industry. With the support of international expertise and technology transfer, Kazakhstan is poised to become a significant player in the drone sector. This initiative underscores the importance of global partnerships in fostering technological and educational growth.

By integrating South Korean educational programs and expertise, Kazakhstan’s drone industry is set for substantial growth, preparing the next generation of drone professionals and enhancing local production capabilities.
