JOUAV Unveils Revolutionary Drone System at Drone World Congress 2024
Civil drone manufacturer JOUAV has introduced its second-generation VTOL hangar drone, the JOS-C800, at the 8th Drone World Congress 2024. This “drone-in-a-box” system promises to revolutionize automated drone operations with enhanced efficiency and versatility.
Key Features and Improvements
The JOS-C800 system includes an automated hangar, the VTOL fixed-wing drone CW-15V, and the Jocloud management platform. This setup allows for complete remote management of drone missions via the cloud. Key features are:
- Autonomous Takeoff and Landing: The system supports fully automated operations without on-site personnel.
- Intelligent Flight Planning: Automatic charging, data management, and intelligent data analysis.
- Redesigned Hangar: Weighing 800 kg, 60% lighter than its predecessor, and occupying 8 cubic meters, a 40% reduction in volume.
- Lower Power Consumption: Reduced from 7 kW to 2 kW.
- Extended Communication Range: The CW-15V drone has a 3 kg payload capacity, 180-minute flight time, and a 30-50 km range.
Cutting-Edge Technology
The new CW-15V drone is equipped with two airspeed tubes for automatic heating and drainage in low temperatures. It supports automatic charging and multi-hangar operations, allowing seamless hop-and-fly operations for maximum efficiency.
Advanced Algorithms
The JOS-C800 employs AI + AR algorithms for real-time data analysis. These algorithms classify and identify potential hazards, generate detailed reports, and provide real-time video stitching and comparative analysis.
Versatile Operations
The system supports multi-drone, multi-hangar operations with staggered takeoffs, enabling various payloads like gimbal cameras and LiDAR to meet different task requirements. This versatility reduces manpower needs and transforms the cost structure of regular drone operations.
