The training program centered on essential operational components including LTE connectivity, FAA compliance protocols, and system updates. Officers participated in hands-on flight training with real-world scenarios, working directly with the automated docking station infrastructure. Weather challenges during the deployment led the team to refine landing accuracy and adjust altitude settings.

The technical implementation included testing and optimizing docking station performance, conducting long-range (Beyond Visual Line of Sight) flights, and ensuring proper system connectivity. All drones received final software updates before being cleared for operational deployment, establishing a foundation for Gainesville PD’s public safety drone operations.
