The DJI Osmo Pocket 4 is no longer just a rumor circulating in forums and Telegram groups. It has appeared in the real world.
An official DJI retailer in Kuala Lumpur has shared hands on footage of the camera after a customer walked into the store carrying it. The video is now live on Instagram, giving us the first credible look at the Pocket 4 outside of earlier China based leaks.
This is the clearest sign yet that launch is close.
DJI Pocket 4 Spotted at Kuala Lumpur Retailer
The footage was posted by DronesKaki Bukit Bintang, an authorized DJI store located inside Fahrenheit 88 mall in Kuala Lumpur.
According to the caption, a customer visited the store and showed the DJI Pocket 4 to staff. The store recorded a 33 second Reel demonstrating the device.
In the clip, we see:
A compact three axis gimbal delivering smooth stabilization while panning through the store.
What it looks to be an accessory, maybe detachable, front facing LED light, which appears to be one of the most visible hardware changes compared to the previous generation.
A rotatable two inch OLED screen, consistent with the Pocket 3 form factor.
Physical buttons and a joystick layout that look refined but familiar.
The stabilization performance appears solid. Even during walking shots, the footage looks controlled and fluid, exactly what users expect from the Pocket line.
The integrated LED is the standout feature. For vloggers filming indoors, at events, or in low light environments, this removes the need for small external lights that add bulk and complexity.
And… JUST ONE CAMERA ๐
Authentic Leak or Too Good to Be True?
We need to address the obvious.
In a time when anyone can generate hyper realistic product videos using AI tools, we cannot be one hundred percent certain this footage is authentic.
The video looks real. The handling appears natural. The lighting and reflections seem consistent. The store posting it is a known DJI retailer.
But we are not confirming this as official.
At this stage, we are as certain as you are.
We hope it is real. It probably is. But until DJI announces the product or we receive photos or videos from a trusted source with direct confirmation, this remains a leak, not a verified launch.
When we receive material from a confirmed and reliable source, we will clearly state that in our reporting.
DJI Osmo Pocket 4 Specs Based on Leaks
DJI has not officially announced the camera yet. However, this Malaysia sighting aligns with earlier Amazon Denmark listings, retail box leaks, and FCC filings.
Based on the information circulating so far, here is what we expect from the standard version:
Sensor
One inch CMOS sensor, likely with improved processing over the DJI Osmo Pocket 3.
Video
4K at up to 120 frames per second appears confirmed.
An earlier Amazon listing suggested support for 4K 240fps on the standard model, while 6K recording may not be included. Some rumors still point to 6K at 30fps, possibly reserved for a future Pro version.
Stabilization
Advanced three axis mechanical gimbal with upgraded AI tracking.
Screen
Two inch rotatable OLED display, expected to be brighter than the previous generation.
Battery
Approximately 1,545mAh with an estimated runtime exceeding 200 minutes, compared to 166 minutes on the Pocket 3.
Connectivity
Wi Fi 6 support for faster transfers and improved wireless performance.
Weight
Approximately 179 grams, maintaining the ultra portable design.
Estimated Price
Base version expected between 549 and 699 dollars.
Creator Combo likely between 699 and 749 dollars.
If the earlier Amazon listing was accurate, shipping could begin in March 2026.
DJI Pocket 3 vs Pocket 4: Is It Worth Upgrading?
The Pocket 4 does not reinvent the product line. Instead, it refines it.
The integrated LED significantly improves low light usability. This is particularly useful for travel vloggers, indoor creators, and event shooters.
If 4K 240fps is confirmed, slow motion capability would double compared to the Pocket 3, offering more flexibility for cinematic shots.
Battery life is another practical improvement. A 20 percent increase in runtime reduces the need for frequent charging during long shooting days.
AI tracking improvements should also benefit solo creators who rely on accurate subject tracking.
For current Pocket 3 users who primarily shoot in daylight, the upgrade may feel incremental. For those who need better low light performance or higher frame rates, the Pocket 4 could be a meaningful step forward.
DJI Pocket 4 Release Date and Availability
Based on retailer sightings and supply chain activity, an official announcement appears imminent.
Release timing is expected between late February and March 2026.
The appearance of the device at DronesKaki in Kuala Lumpur suggests units are already circulating at the retail level in some regions.
A global rollout through DJI Store, Amazon, and major camera retailers is likely to follow shortly after the official announcement.
For now, this Malaysia leak provides the strongest real world confirmation that the DJI Pocket 4 is ready for launch.
DroneXLโs Take
We like what we see, but we are not calling it confirmed yet.
The footage is convincing, and the retailer posting it adds credibility. Still, in an era where AI generated product demos are becoming harder to distinguish from reality, caution is necessary.
If this is authentic, DJI has delivered a smart refinement with practical upgrades that matter to real users.
