DJI releases DJI FlyCart 200, T200 drones with 200kg payload capacity, multi-drone control

In yet another product release, once again limited to the Chinese market, DJI has unveiled two new heavy-lift drones: the DJI FlyCart 200 and the DJI T200.

These launches mark the companyโ€™s first announcements of the day and reinforce its push into industrial logistics and agricultural operations, with both platforms capable of carrying payloads of up to 200 kilograms (~440 lbs).

DJI FlyCart 200 & T200

Both drones were quietly added to DJIโ€™s Chinese website, with no indication yet of a global release timeline. At first glance, the DJI FlyCart 200 and DJI T200 share the same core airframe and specifications, pointing to a unified hardware platform.

The key differences come down to intended use and coordination capabilities:

  • FlyCart 200 is designed for general cargo and logistics
  • T200 is tailored for agricultural use and limited to dual-drone coordinated operations

Key Features

Both models share nearly identical hardware and performance characteristics, including their power system:

  • Maximum payload (single unit): 200 kg (~440 lbs)
  • Dual-drone collaborative payload: up to 360 kg (~794 lbs)
  • Quad-drone collaborative payload (FlyCart 200 only): up to 600 kg (~1323 lbs)
  • Maximum flight range (no load): ~36 km (~22 mi)
  • O4 transmission system with long-range, stable connectivity (40km) [~25 mi)
  • 11-sensor intelligent safety system for complex environments
  • Dual PSDK interfaces for payload expansion

Both the FlyCart 200 and T200 use the same battery platform, with support for up to four batteries installed simultaneously. This modular setup enables flexibility between endurance and payload demands depending on the mission.

FlyCart 200: Scalable Logistics

The FlyCart 200 is built for flexible, large-scale transport operations. Its standout feature is support for both dual and quad-drone coordinated lifting, enabling significantly higher payload capacity when operating as a fleet.

It also supports a broader ecosystem of accessories and payloads, including compatibility with DJIโ€™s Zenmuse H30 Series and S1 spotlight, further reinforcing its positioning as a multi-role industrial platform.

This makes it well-suited for:

  • Industrial logistics
  • Construction material transport
  • Emergency and remote delivery operations

T200: Agricultural Focus

The T200, officially branded as the โ€œDJI T200 Agricultural Unmanned Aircraft,โ€ is optimized for farming and rural logistics.

While it shares the same lifting capacity and power system, it is limited to dual-drone coordination, capping its collaborative payload at 360 kg. It also forgoes some of the broader payload compatibility seen on the FlyCart 200, instead focusing on agricultural-specific workflows and reliability.

DroneXL’s Take

By standardizing the platform across both models, DJI is clearly focusing on scalability through software, accessories, and operational constraints rather than core hardware differences. The FlyCart 200 stands out as the more versatile, expandable system, while the T200 is a streamlined, purpose-built solution for agriculture.

For now, both remain China-exclusive, but their capabilities point toward a future where heavy-lift drone ecosystems become increasingly modular, scalable, and specialized.
