Insta360 released Arctic White versions of the Link 2 Pro and Link 2C Pro on Thursday, August 27, 2026, at the same prices as the black models: $249.99 and $199.99. The sensor, lens, microphones, gimbal and software are identical to the Graphite Black units.

Both webcams have been on sale worldwide since January 13, 2026, when Insta360 launched them at CES. The white bodies go on sale the same day the announcement went out, through Insta360’s own store, Amazon and authorized retailers. The company describes the finish as “designed to complement bright, modern workspaces, home offices and creator setups.”

What has actually changed since January sits in the software, not the shell.

Insta360 Kept Every Spec And Changed Only The Shell

The Arctic White Link 2 Pro carries the same 1/1.3-inch sensor as the black model, paired with a 24mm equivalent f/1.9 lens and dual native ISO running from 100 to 3200. A 2-axis gimbal physically pans and tilts to track a presenter. The Link 2C Pro drops the gimbal and keeps the imaging.

Insta360 rates that sensor at 2.23 times the photosensitive area of the older Link 2, with 2.4-micron equivalent pixels. Maximum field of view is 83.9 degrees diagonal, and the Link 2 Pro body weighs 102.5 g (3.6 oz) bare, 167.5 g (5.9 oz) once the magnetic mount is attached. The 2C Pro comes in at 48.5 g (1.71 oz).

Video tops out at 4K30, with 60fps available only at 1080p and below, over a USB 2.0 connection. No amount of paint moves that ceiling.

One line the release does not contain: any mention of a limited run. When Insta360 put the Ace Pro 2 in Arctic White in June, it labeled those bundles a Limited Edition. These webcams carry no such wording, which reads as a permanent second colorway rather than a drop. It follows the same play the company ran on the Insta360 X6 launch and across the rest of its 2026 release calendar: ship, then keep the SKU list growing.

Insta360’s Link Controller software now includes a teleprompter that holds a script beside the lens while you present, plus Custom Overlays for dropping text, images and video into the outgoing feed. Both landed after the January launch, and both work on the black cameras too.

Integration with Insta360 InSight adds meeting transcription and auto-generated summaries, some of it behind a paid subscription. Elgato Stream Deck support handles exposure, presets and mode switching from physical keys, and WaveLink Pro ties the Link 2 Pro to Insta360’s Wave speakerphone so that whoever is talking gets the camera’s attention.

The audio hardware is a directional and an omnidirectional microphone with beamforming, offering four pickup modes: Standard, Wide, Focus and Original. Focus mode narrows the pickup to roughly one meter in front of the camera.

Natural Bokeh Locks Out AMD Cards And Intel Macs

Natural Bokeh is the feature with hard limits attached. Insta360’s spec sheet requires an NVIDIA GTX 1080 or RTX 2060 and above on Windows, and states plainly that AMD GPUs are not supported. On macOS it needs Apple Silicon, with Intel Macs excluded outright.

Green Screen has its own tiering. Windows machines with NVIDIA cards below a GTX 1050 Ti cannot run it, while non-NVIDIA Windows GPUs reach 4K. Intel Macs cap at 1080p. Background Replacer works on all NVIDIA hardware, and Insta360 lists six specific AMD Radeon cards it has verified.

Buried in the footnotes: the Insta360 Virtual Camera, which is what actually delivers Whiteboard Mode, Natural Bokeh and the beautify tools to Zoom or Teams, does not support 50fps or 60fps at all.

DroneXL’s Take

A paint job is not news, and I am not going to dress it up as one. The cadence behind it is the part worth ten seconds.

Insta360 has shipped the X6, the Luna Ultra, an Arctic White Ace Pro 2 and now a white webcam pair this year, every one of them orderable by an American buyer on day one. DJI spent that same year unable to get an Osmo Pocket 4 or a Mic Mini 2S onto a US product page. Two Shenzhen camera companies, one FCC Covered List, and only one of them gets to run a normal product calendar. That the two firms were comfortable enough to drop their Texas patent suits against each other in July says something about who feels the pressure and who does not. Insta360 also co-engineered the Antigravity A1, an 8K 360 drone that flies over American backyards without an FCC problem, which makes the drone-specific security logic harder to follow every month it goes unexplained.

For anyone actually reaching for a card: check your GPU before you check the color. Background replacement and bokeh are a real chunk of what the Pro premium buys, and on a Windows box with an AMD card or on an Intel Mac, you are paying $249.99 for a webcam that will not run them.
