Former FAA executives start AccelerātUM to expedite drone operations
Feddersen joins AccelerātUM after leading the Federal Aviation Administration's (FAA) national security, incident response, and unmanned aircraft systems (UAS) security programs.
Prior to this, Feddersen held senior executive positions in the Department of Defense and as the National Security Council's Director for Transportation Security in the Executive Office of the President.
“I am very excited to be a part of the AccelerātUM team,” said Feddersen. “I look forward to building upon the company's collaborative efforts to advance unmanned mobility and drone policies, standards, and best practices.”
Throughout his career, Feddersen played key roles in leading the development and implementation of the Nation's strategic frameworks to counter the threat of drones, promoting the economic competitiveness of the Drone Industry, and safeguarding the privacy and civil rights of Americans in the domestic use of drones. Feddersen is a rated helicopter pilot and his earlier leadership experience in public service includes serving as a U.S. Army Aviation Officer, Intelligence Officer, and Pennsylvania State Trooper.
“The Board and I are confident that Brett is the right person to move AccelerātUM and unmanned mobility forward,” said Lessing Stern, Co-founder, and Chairman of the Board. “He has the deep industry experience and the perfect combination of technical expertise and business acumen for the company. All of us at AccelerātUM are excited to have him as our President.”
Michael Huerta, Co-founder, and former FAA Administrator said, “We are delighted to welcome Brett to our executive team in his role as President. He is a seasoned leader with great experience working with the aviation industry, government regulators, and public safety agencies.”
