Shooting fireworks from a DJI Phantom drone [video]

Granted this is not the smartest (or even legal) thing to do with a drone, but it is fun to watch. Check out this video in which the folks from ‘Beyond the press’ shoot fireworks from a DJI Phantom drone.

Shooting fireworks from a DJI Phantom drone

We have seen videos in the past where people would shoot fireworks and even firearms from a drone. Fyi – neither one is a good idea, in case you’re wondering, but, I’ll admit it is entertaining to watch.

In this video from ‘Beyond the press’, titled the ‘Finnish Air Force!’ we see how the crew uses a DJI Phantom drone to shoot various fireworks.

In a few cases, the team gets a little bit too excited as they mount to many fireworks to the drone and it becomes very unstable. Reducing the payload helps quite a bit and they are able to control the drone and take aim.

Again, not a great idea, and please do not try this at home, but watch the video if you have a few minutes to kill.
