DJI released a new version of their DJI Fly app for Apple’s iOS devices. This is now version 1.1.6 and it brings a few improvements. The app is used to remotely control DJI drones such as the Mavic Mini and the Mavic Air 2.

New DJI Fly app released

The new version of the DJI Fly app brings the following new features and upgrades:

  • Updates the display logic for battery and flight time alerts.
  • Adds Advanced Gimbal Settings (for Mavic Air 2).
  • Fixes app crashing issues and improves overall stability.

Curious to hear if any of you already had a chance to update your DJI Mavic Air 2 and try out these new improvements. Also, I wonder what DJI means with ‘Fixes app crashing issues and improves overall stability,” might it have anything to do with closing security flaws in the app?

    • Thanks for sharing. I tend not to edit on my phone so I have not yet experienced that. The DJI app for sure seems to be the way forward and I’d expect DJI to keep improving the app.

  1. I updated the app for my Mavic Air 2 and somehow i cannot play with my camera (photo & video) settings like i use too. I am stock with the possibility the choose between photo or video and only able to use the basic settings!!?? Also the new zoom feature doesn’t appear on screen beside the the « record » red icon??? i am suddenly very limited!! Any answer ? I deleted and re-download the app and the problem still occurs.
