Video footage that was found on the micro-SD card form the DJI Mavic Pro drone showed a daredevil jumping off the historic Folsom Truss Bridge into the American River. The jump is over 100-feet high and was captured by the drone.

The diver, Mike Pelley is looking to return the drone to its rightful owner. In a video from CBS Sacramento, he said

“I’ve seen the ending and it still makes me nervous every time I watch it.”

Jumping from the Folsom Truss Bridge is both dangerous and illegal. Thankfully the daredevil resurfaced a few seconds after hitting the water.

“I was afraid I was about to watch a very tragic-ending video because I’ve never seen anybody jump from that high up,” Pelley said.

It’s Pelley’s hobby to find and recover lost items in the American River and return them to their owners.

CBS Sacramento reports that bridge jumping like this a problem for the Folsom Parks and Recreation Department every year. They patrol daily for potential thrill-seekers. Last year, a young man jumped from Rainbow Bridge and died. However, as you can see in the video, not all daredevils can be stopped.
