Drone delivery company Wing has a new head of operations as the Alphabet subsidiary is looking to expand its global reach.
Drone delivery company Wing has a new head of operations
David Kunst has been appointed as the new head of operations for drone delivery company Wing. According to Business Insider, the previous Chief Operating Officer Faisal Masud has now officially left Wing after first having served in an advisory role before leaving.
According to a Wing spokesperson, Kunst will oversee, ‘a further expansion of our global operations and the use cases we can support.’
Kunst joined Wing in July of this year after having worked as a manager of operations in Northern California for the rideshare company, Lyft.
“Dave has a good mix of ops and product experience, and he’ll be overseeing a further expansion of our global operations and the use cases we can support,” a Wing spokesperson said.
Drone delivery company Wing currently has drone delivery operations ongoing in the U.S. and Australia. The company also recently announced a partnership with the UK’s Department of Transport to work on an unmanned traffic management (UTM) framework. Wing is based in Palo Alto, California.
Wing seems to be doing well during the coronavirus pandemic, after first having reported an uptick in business the drone delivery company also posted 28 new job ads on Linkedin.
