The retail training’s guide that was shared online earlier today, confirms that the soon-to-be-released DJI FPV drone will not only record 4K video at 60fps but that the fpv quadcopter will do so at a welcome 120Mbps and offers the flat D-Cinelike profile.

This will means that we should be able to capture some truly stunning, sweeping, and cinematic footage with the DJI FPV drone.

  • 4K video recording will offer us the high-resolution we need for cropping in post-production or simply for our viewing pleasure on 4K monitors and TV’s
  • 60 frames-per-second allows us some slow-motion effects and smooth footage. We expect that slower frame rates will be available as well for more cinematic footage straight out of the drone.
  • 120Mbps will help us to record deeper and more vivid colors as well as an increased dynamic range.
  • The D-Cinemalike option allows us to record video in a flat profile that will help to recover shadows and highlights in post-production. it also allows us greater freedom in manipulating the colors in the video recording.

This means that the DJI FPV drone is not only aimed at people just getting into FPV flying, or drone pilots looking for a more genuine flying experience. The DJI FPV drone is also very much targetted at people who are looking to create FPV-style, cinematic drone footage.
