From the description accompanying the video:
“This short film is about a large city in miniature. The video was shot in Vancouver for a year from many astonishing perspectives. The mesmerizing images offer a different perspective on what it means to live in a large metropolis.”
The miniature effect was emphasized by giving the images a stop-motion effect. The maker also used so-called depth maps to selectively apply the tilt-shift effect, which gives the effect extra expression.
