The yet-to-be-released DJI Mini 3 sub-250-gram drone is shown on the website of a UK retailer with a price tag of £827.97, which is a little over $1,000.
If the price seems on the high side, that is because we’re looking at the DJI Mini 3 Fly More Combo with the DJI RC remote controller.
This means that for around $1,000, you will not only get. the DJI Mini 3 but also three intelligent flight batteries, a shoulder bag, the DJI RC remote controller with a built-in display, extra props, screws, a gimbal cover, and a battery charging hub.
While we do not yet know the price of the DJI Mini 3 without all the accessories, we do expect it to come in at quite a lower price.
The listing on the website of the UK retailer also shows us some of the specs.
- Under 249 gram
- 4K HDR video
- True vertical shooting
- Intelligent features
- 38 kph (level 5) wind resistance
- Fly More Kit with a shoulder bag and charging hub
- DJI RC
- Auto Takeoff function
Currently, we do not have firm information on a possible release date, but we expect, based on the recent FCC filings, that it might be soon.
It seems that the DJI Mini 3 will only lack the obstacle avoidance sensors that are present on the DJI Mini 3 Pro version. Not sure how much of an issue that is for experienced flyers.
In case you’re wondering if the DJI Mini 3 can be used for commercial work with your Part 107 certificate, be sure to watch these two videos (one, two) from Billy Kyle, in which he explains how good the DJI Mini drone really is.
