DJI Mini 3 shows up in FCC filings. Will we see one more DJI drone this year?
The DJI Mini 3 shows up in FCC filings. A clear indication that the world’s largest camera drone maker is planning to release at least one more DJI drone this year.
According to several reports, the Mini 3, a less expensive version of the Mini 3 Pro, which made its debut earlier this year, is soon to be released.
The fact that the Mini 3 has already received FCC approval indicates that it will soon be released in the US, even if DJI hasn’t yet made the announcement.
Because the Mini 3 has been registered under a distinct FCC ID, it is assumed that the drone differs significantly from the Mini 3 Pro. DJI has also given the Mini 3 a new model number, MT3PD.
At this point, the exact specs of the DJI Mini 3 are unknown. Nor do we know exactly how the DJI Mini 3 will differ from the Pro version.
Currently, we have no information on a possible release date or price. However, we expect DJI to announce the DJI Mini 3 well ahead of holiday shopping and for it to be cheaper than the DJI Mini 3 Pro. A price of around $550 seems reasonable.
