As we get closer to the launch date of the DJI Mini 2 SE (tomorrow), more and more images, pricing, and specs are surfacing. Here’s the latest on what might well be the ultimate beginner’s drone from DJI.

Update 2/9: DJI MINI 2 SE… SE-RIOUSLY THE BEST BEGINNER DRONE

This morning, Igor Bogdanov shared the following pricing information for the DJI Mini 2 SE on Twitter. He shared a photo that seems to come from the Vietnamese DJI website, showing the DJI Mini 2 SE drone with the RC-N1 remote controller and accessories, listing the mini DJI drone for around $380, and the Fly More Combo for $482.

These prices are directly converted from the Vietnamese đồng currency and seem to be a bit high for the US market, where you can get a DJI Mini 2 for $449.

DJI Mini 2 SE might cost $299

However, shortly after Igor’s post, this photo was shared on Twitter by Christian Schmidt, showing the DJI Mini 2 SE listed for sale on the German DJI site, where it appears for only 299 EUR.

Now this is more like it. The DJI Mini 2 SE might well be officially launched in the US tomorrow with a retail price of only $299. At which point it would replace the current DJI Mini SE that is listed for $299 on the official DJI website.

For $299 and with 2.7K video recording, the DJI Mini 2 SE would undoubtedly be the best beginner drone from DJI. We expect this new mini drone to be available at Costco, Best Buy, and other large retail outlets, making the drone available to the masses. We’re excited about this prospect, as it would bring many new people into the drone hobby and profession.
