Priced at $369, a little higher than we expected, the DJI Mini 2 SE is SE-riously the best and most affordable beginner drone from DJI, once it becomes available on March 22nd.
The DJI Mini 2 SE comes with a 3-axis stabilized camera with a 1/2.3-inch CMOS sensor that shoots 12 mp aerial photos and video footage at a resolution of 2.7K.
The DJI Mini 2 SE comes with OcuSync 2.0, which is a great video transmission system with a range of up to 6 miles. This is much farther than what most countries allow for visual line of sight.
DJI Mini 2 SE… Best beginner drone from DJI

On a full battery charge, the DJI Mini 2 SE can stay airborne for 31 minutes, which is one minute longer than the DJI Mini SE.
The DJI Mini 2 SE weighs less than 250 grams, which means that as long as you fly the drone recreationally, you will not have to register it with the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA).
Keep in mind that as soon as you get your Part 107 certificate and start using the DJI Mini 2 SE for commercial purposes, you will have to register this drone.
Unlike the DJI Mini 3, the DJI Mini 2 SE has not yet been added to the FAA’s list of Remote ID compliant drones. We expect this to happen before the latest DJI mini drone hits the market on March 22nd, 2023.
As mentioned earlier, the DJI Mini 2 SE will come in higher than expected at a retail price of $369. The DJI Mini 2 SE Fly More Combo with extra batteries, propellers, and a carrying case will set you back $519.
This still makes the DJI Mini 2 SE… SE-riously the best DJI beginner drone. It has all the features that you need to create awesome aerial photos and drone videos for TikTok and other social media channels.
And, the DJI Mini 2 SE is considerably less expensive than the DJI Mini 2 ($449) or the DJI Mini 3 ($469, drone only).
