At the DSEI 2023 event in London, Drone Evolution unveiled Sentinel, a groundbreaking tethered drone or Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV). Crafted in the UK, this advanced system promises to revolutionize surveillance and reconnaissance tasks, boasting features that set it apart from its counterparts.
The Sentinel Advantage
Unlike traditional systems, Sentinel comes with an integrated Steatite MPU5 MESH radio, transforming it into an airborne rebroadcasting hub. This ensures heightened surveillance capabilities for real-time situational awareness. Impressively lightweight, the Sentinel tether system offers faster deployment than conventional mast options. Sentinel’s applications are vast, perfect for intelligence, surveillance, reconnaissance, force protection, and event security.
The Sentinel is equipped with Drone Evolution’s innovative Freedom Power Supply Unit (PSU), taking power efficiency to new heights. This exceptional PSU can produce an output of 100V–500V from a mere 12V or 24V vehicle power supply. Consequently, Sentinel can hover at 50m for an uninterrupted 6 hours, possibly longer. Notably, Sentinel stands out as the singular system that operates straight from a 12v or 24v power source without needing an inverter or generator.
