DJI Teases Global Launch of Agras T50 Agricultural Drone

DJI, a leading drone manufacturer, teased the global launch of its DJI Agras T50 agricultural drone this morning. The company shared a teaser on its website and social media accounts with the title “Ready, Steady, Go” and a short video featuring the outline of an agricultural drone. The Agras T50 has already been launched in China last year, and a global launch is expected on April 25 at 9 a.m. EDT.

Matching the Teaser with Existing DJI Agras Models

By comparing the video with existing photos and videos of DJI’s agricultural drones on their China website, it appears that the drone featured in the teaser is most likely the Agras T50. This speculation is based on the unique quad headlights on the front of the drone, which are not found on other models like the T25P or T60. Interestingly, the DJI Flycart 30 seems to share a very similar design.

Agras T50 Features and Capabilities

The Agras T50 boasts impressive features and capabilities that make it a powerful tool for agricultural operations. Some of its key specifications include:

  • Support for a 40kg spraying payload or 50kg spreading payload
  • Ability to spray 16L/min and spread 108KG/min
  • Equipped with forward and rear phasing radar and DJI’s powerful vision system for obstacle detection and avoidance
  • Aerial survey capabilities in two modes: 50-degree sloped survey or automated survey
  • Quick battery charging in just 9 minutes using mains power or a generator in remote locations
  • Optional kit designed specifically for spraying fruit trees

DJI claims that the Agras T50 can cover an impressive 320 acres in just 1 hour when spraying fields, 72 acres in 1 hour when spraying fruit trees, and can spread 1.5 tons of fertilizer when used in sowing operations.

The Role of Drones in Agriculture

The launch of the Agras T50 highlights the growing importance of drones in modern agriculture. Drones like the T50 offer farmers and agricultural professionals a more efficient and precise way to manage their crops, from spraying pesticides and fertilizers to conducting aerial surveys for monitoring crop health and growth. By automating these tasks and providing detailed data, drones can help optimize agricultural operations, reduce costs, and improve crop yields.

As DJI prepares for the global launch of the Agras T50, it is clear that the company continues to innovate and push the boundaries of what drones can do in the agricultural sector. With its impressive features and capabilities, the Agras T50 is poised to become a valuable tool for farmers and agricultural professionals around the world.

Be sure to mark your calendars for the launch of the latest DJI agricultural drone on April 25 at 9 AM EDT.
