U.S. Air Force’s New sUAS Training for Airmen Takes Flight

The U.S. Air Force has initiated a new training program on small unmanned aerial systems (sUAS) at Luke Air Force Base, Arizona. This program, created with the Chief of Staff of the Air Force’s strategic studies group, reportedly aims to train Airmen in the use of sUAS in combat environments.
Combat Airpower for All Airmen
The 56th Fighter Wing’s first “Combat Airpower for All Airmen” class was recently conducted. Led by Master Sgt. Dakota Belcher and the spark cell team, this course focuses on sUAS training and employment in combat scenarios.
Training Details
The course includes:
- Hands-on sUAS training
- Strategies for employing drones in combat environments
