HHLA Sky Demonstrates Effective Drone Operations
HHLA Sky, a subsidiary of Hamburger Hafen und Logistik AG (HHLA), has showcased its solutions for efficient drone operations at the recently unveiled dronePORT Hamburg, the first hub for unmanned aviation and mobile sensor technologies in Europe. The event was officially opened by the Hamburg Port Authority (HPA), Hamburg Police, and Hamburg Aviation in Germany.
HHLA Sky offers drones for monitoring the Port of Hamburg and shipping lanes, as well as the Integrated Control Centre, a technology required for automated drone control and fleet management.
Mathias Gronstedt, Managing Director of HHLA Sky, emphasized the importance of automation in drone operations, stating, “Automation is the key to efficient drone operations: HHLA Sky’s Integrated Control Center makes flights beyond visual range possible and drone operations safely scalable. We are delighted to be part of dronePORT with this technology and to offer our services here.”
Strategic Cooperation with Airobotics
In May, HHLA Sky formed a strategic cooperation with Airobotics Ltd. $$Airobotics$$ to provide drone services for securing and assisting terminal operations in Germany. This partnership aims to combine Airobotics’ autonomous drone technology with HHLA Sky’s Integrated Control Centre (ICC), UTM platforms, and presence in the German market, delivering a new level of automation and accuracy to crucial drone operations.
