DJIโs professional controller lineup is getting a significant upgrade with the new DJI RC Plus 2, featuring enhanced transmission capabilities and comprehensive design improvements, as reported by dronenr on X.
The DJI RC Plus 2 was launch together with the D-RTK3 and O4 Image Transmission Relay. So far, the launch of these new DJI products appears to have been restricted to China only.
DJI RC Plus 2 Physical Design Changes
The DJI RC Plus 2 is expected to support DJI O4 Enterprise image transmission, as revealed in a translated excerpt from DJI Chinaโs agricultural website. This website was unveiled alongside the Agras T100 and T70.
The RC Plus 2 introduces several noteworthy hardware improvements:
- Redesigned antenna system that appears to be non-removable
- Refined and reshaped shoulder buttons for improved ergonomics
- Enhanced durability with larger rubber bumpers on the top corners
- Updated speaker vent configuration
- Relocated ports with improved protection
- Retained 7-inch display and familiar button layout
DJI D-RTK3 and DJI O4 Image Transmission Relay
If the O4 image transmission signal is disrupted, and the mobile network is functioning properly, the device will automatically switch to the mobile network to effortlessly handle challenging situations like mountain obstructions. However, if the O4 image transmission signal is interfered with, and thereโs no mobile network signal, a relay module can be installed to ensure seamless operation.

When are they going to allow us to use the RC Plus with the Mavic 3E?
I would like to see the 7โณ RC Plus or Plus 2 support the Air3S and Mini 4 Pro, which both use O4. I donโt need the 4G support. I just want the 7โณ high bright display for under $1000. I think DJI would sell a boatload of them, instead of restricting it to enterprise craft. Maybe someday.
