Litchi updated its app over the Thanksgiving weekend and added support for the original DJI Mavic Mini (not yet for the Mini 2). All flight modes are supported for the Mavic Mini with the exception of waypoints which will come in a future update. Check out the post below of all the details of this latest update, Version 2.9.1.
Here’s how you can get ActiveTrack on the DJI Mavic Mini with the Litchi Beta and Litchi Magic Leash apps. As you probably know the DJI Mavic Mini lacks DJI’s ActiveTrack, most likely because the drone doesn’t have any obstacle avoidance sensors and DJI wants to keep you from losing the aircraft, but with the Litchi Beta and Litchi Magic Leash apps for Google’s Android platform you can work around this and get the shots you want.
On June 15th, we wrote that Litchi would likely be available for the DJI Mavic Mini and the Mavic Air 2 later this summer. We thought now would be a good time to check in with the app developer and see where things stand. Currently, Litchi for the Mavic Mini is in beta-testing and they’re waiting for DJI to update the Mavic Air 2 SDK.
