In England, a police drone with a thermal camera spotted a cannabis factory or weed plantation above a bar in Willenhall. After the West Midlands Police had raided the bar, It was mentioned that the weed was worth over 500,000 British pounds.

The local police used a drone with a thermal camera to locate the weed inside the castle bar on new road in Willenhall, England.

On Tuesday, June 9th, local law enforcement raided the place and found about 500 illicit cannabis plants growing in the former boozer, reported news outlet BirminghamLive.

“Thermal images reinforcing the suspicions of cannabis grow. Acted on by @WSTaskforce and their hard work bringing about a fantastic result.

On social media, the police shared images of what the cameras had picked up. It’s pretty amazing to see how the thermal cameras can see right through the building and spot the heat-generating lamps that are needed to grow the plants inside a building.

The spokesperson for the West Midlands Police confirmed that around 500 plants were found however that no arrests had been made as of yet.

“Officers on @WSTaskforce had a productive afternoon, discovering a huge cannabis factory housed in a disused public house in Willenhall town centre. Nearly 600 plants found inside with street value of approx £500,000.”
