In Valley Springs, South Dakota a modern farmer uses a DJI Mavic 2 Pro drone to track crop progress. The beans are done according to Jordan Scott and he and his father are halfway done with the corn.
Modern farmer tracks crop progress with a DJI Mavic 2 Pro drone
The Scott family farm in Vally Springs is busy this harvest season, reports Keloland. Jordan from Scott Family Farms is a 4th (Moms side) and a 5th (Dads side) generation family farmer from eastern South Dakota. With his father, they grow soybeans and corn on approximately 1200 acres (580 hectares).
The beans are done according to Jordan Scott and he and his father are halfway done with the corn. It is a totally different story from last year when he couldn’t even get into some fields because they were so wet Scott said.
“My dad’s been farming for 30-some years and he’s never seen a year like we had last year. To have a little more normal this year is great,” Scott said.
