New DJI FPV controller shows up in leaked photo on Twitter
Could this be the new DJI FPV controller that shows up in this leaked photo on Twitter? It sure seems like it might be. It has the shape of a Playstation controller with a new design antenna. Let’s take a closer look at what might be part of the yet-to-be-released DJI FPV drone.
New DJI FPV controller shows up in leaked photo
In the photo you see a person sitting with what clearly looks like DJI FPV Goggles and he is holding what surely looks like the next generation of the DJI FPV controller.
There are a few giveaways here that this controller is indeed a genuine DJI product. First of all, it is being used in combination with the DJI FPV Goggles. Secondly, it has the same familiar DJI grey color. The sticks have the same shape as the sticks on the DJI controller for the DJI Mini 2 and the DJI Mavic Air 2, and other DJI drones. You can see the cutouts to store the control sticks in the grip.
looking at the center of the controller, there seems to be a USB-C connection. And, on top of the device, there is a loop for a lanyard. Possibly a return home button on the left, although the icon looks a little different. Hard to tell. And likely an on /off button to the right.
Furthermore, we see a bunch of labels or decals on the top of the DJI FPV controller, including a QR code. Similar labels can be seen on the side of the DJI FPV Goggles. The person wearing the goggles and holding the controller is also wearing a badge. The resolution is too low to really make out what it says but it might be an indication that he is part of a DJI test program.
The antenna on the DJI FPV controller looks very different from anything we have ever seen from DJI. It comes up in a T-shape and it looks like you might be able to fold it down or backward where it would sing underneath the controller, possibly into a cutout. Not sure.
what seems to be missing from the top of the DJI FPV controller are the four battery indication LEDs that we are used to seeing on other DJI controllers.
If this controller is indeed the new DJI FPV controller then it looks like it is already in a test phase of the production cycle, which would line up with the rumors that circulated earlier. It was said that we might possibly still see the new DJI FPV drone before the year is over, although at this point, and with all the recent DJI products that have been released, it seems more likely that we will not see the DJI FPV drone until early 2021.
Btw – the photo was leaked by our favorite DJI leaker OsitaLV.

The iconic concrete color on RC, very DJI style. So tell me, is it the next generation of DJI FPV suite? https://t.co/yVUKS96q99
